About the Practice
Often, we neglect our health, ignore warning signs, and put off dealing with problems until they become emergencies, in need of immediate and drastic attention. At Dental Art Images, LLC, the private practice of Jennifer S. Davis, D.M.D., and Frederick S. Johnson, D.M.D., we remind our patients that the sooner we catch a problem, the easier it is for us to deal with it. If we detect a cavity early enough, for example, treatment might be no more invasive than air abrasion. A trip to the dentist need not be the dreaded experience that it once was. This is especially true at our office, where we go to great effort to create a relaxing atmosphere that will make you feel calm and welcome the moment you walk in the door.
Our mission is to provide for our patients an atmosphere of respect and acceptance so that we may be able to facilitate individualized care to meet each person’s lifestyle and esthetic goals. We will present to our patients the best treatment options available and deliver the highest quality treatment in a caring and professional setting. We will strive to improve the esthetics of our patients’ natural smiles, thus increasing our patients’ comfort and self esteem, as well as enhancing their quality of life, while also encouraging the highest standards of ethical conduct and responsible patient care.
Dr. Jennifer Davis
Dr. Davis started her career in dentistry in 1988 as a dental hygienist. After receiving a certificate in dental hygiene from the University of Pittsburgh, she worked as a dental hygienist while pursuing a bachelor of chemistry degree at Lebanon Valley College, where she received numerous awards in organic chemistry and served as a research assistant under the guidance of Dr. Carl T. Wigal, PhD. Dr. Davis has also published in The Journal of Organic Chemistry.
Subsequent to a 10-year career as a dental hygienist, Dr. Davis entered dental school at the University of Pennsylvania. Again, doing research was an important part of her educational process; she received a grant from the National Institutes of Health for work in the area of bone formation. Upon graduation from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Davis joined the practice of Dr. Frederick S. Johnson. Together, they practice a philosophy of comprehensive and esthetic dentistry.
Dr. Davis is a member of the American Dental Association and the New Dentist Committee for the Pennsylvania Dental Association. She is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a student of The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education.
Dr. Frederick S. Johnson
Born and raised in Pennsylvania’s Lancaster County, Dr. Johnson attended Hempfield High School and then Ursinus College near Philadelphia. In 1978, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh’s dental school, having received the Mosby Scholarship Award for Scholastic Excellence. In that same year, he established a dental practice in Annville, Pennsylvania. In 2000, he moved to a much larger and technically updated office in Cleona, where he now practices.
Dr. Johnson is a sustaining member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania and American Dental Associations. He is the current chairman of the Council on Membership for the Pennsylvania Dental Association at its headquarters in Harrisburg, and is past president of the Lebanon County Dental Society.
Besides attending numerous continuing education courses throughout the year, Dr. Johnson teaches several courses presented by the internationally renowned Dr. Frank Spear of the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education, with a focus on advanced oral health, reconstruction, and cosmetic dentistry.
